Somatic Yoga is a mindful movement practice that combines elements of yoga, somatic movement, and mindfulness techniques ( Nidra yoga) to connect to the body on a deeper level and using movement to release deep seated trauma and stress emotions and feel deeper the body connection to movement. 


The practice involves slow, gentle movements performed with awareness and focused attention on the body's sensations

Unlike my Alignment yoga classes , which emphasises external alignment and holding asana poses in the correct series, Somatic Yoga places a greater emphasis on internal awareness, sensation, and the release of muscular tension.

This combination of Somatic slow paced practice and Nidra yoga technique calms the nervous system and activate the parasympathetic (relaxation, rest & digest) response.

This class is perfect for beginners.

It encourages mental and physical relaxation, which helps reduce stress and anxiety, PTSD, helps with depression or just simply ease you into "let go' state of mind. 

Yoga asanas practices with use of props:

 2 yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters.



Please bring your own Yoga mat and bolster as it is absolutely essential prop to attend the class.
